K-Swiss
Campaign poster for Californian shoe brand K-Swiss
In 1966, a small Los Angeles-based company called K-Swiss launched The Classic, the game’s first all-leather tennis shoe. The Classic immediately became a milestone in modern tennis: before its launch, tennis shoes were made of canvas. For 20 years long, K-Swiss dominated the courts with this single shoe. In fact, between 1966 and 1986 K-Swiss produced no other shoe than The Classic, which is a crazy and beautiful story in today’s fast- moving sneaker market!
We were asked to participate in a campaign celebrating this legendary brand. Our poster was a homage to Californian modernism anno 1966, with clear references to David Hockney and the Dodgers.
